Terms of Service

Last updated September 25, 2026

Welcome to Acqora. These terms govern your use of acqora.com and the services Acqora provides. By using the site you accept them. If anything here is unclear, contact us at hello@acqora.com.

01

What Acqora is

Acqora is a marketplace where founders list startups for sale and buyers discover, compare and negotiate on them. Acqora is not a party to any sale. We do not own the businesses listed, do not transfer assets, and never hold transaction funds. All closings run through Escrow.com, a licensed independent escrow service that holds the buyer's payment until the seller transfers the agreed assets.

02

Accounts and listings

You may browse without an account. Making offers, messaging sellers and listing a startup require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you submit: financial figures, category, description, pricing and contact details. Listings that misrepresent a business — including inflating revenue that has not been verified — may be removed without notice.

A listing marked Verified reflects figures we reconciled against a restricted read-only key to your billing provider at the time of checking. Verification is a point-in-time check, not a warranty, audit or guarantee of future revenue. Self-reported listings are not checked by us.

03

Read-only billing keys

To verify revenue, founders supply a restricted read-only key from Stripe, Paddle, Lemon Squeezy or Chargebee. Such keys can read account data but cannot charge, refund, move money or change account settings. Use only a restricted key, keep its permissions read-only, and never share your full account credentials with anyone — including us. If you delete the key, we can no longer refresh your verified figures.

04

Offers, deals and the broker fee

Offers made through Acqora are proposals between buyer and seller; they become binding only in the agreement you execute with the counterparty. When a deal proceeds through Acqora, we charge a broker fee of 5% of the sale price, split evenly — 2.5% to the buyer and 2.5% to the seller — collected automatically as fee lines inside the Escrow.com transaction. Nothing is charged outside that transaction.

Optional listing promotions (verified backlink, AI visibility boost, sponsor spots) are one-time purchases clearly labelled at checkout and are not refundable once the promotion is live. Promotions never affect verification status or organic ranking guarantees.

05

Due diligence

You alone are responsible for the decision to buy or sell a startup. Verified revenue reduces risk; it does not eliminate it. Independently confirm ownership of code, domain names, customer contracts, liabilities, taxes and anything else material before closing. Escrow.com's inspection period exists for this purpose — use it.

06

Prohibited use

Don't scrape the directory at scale, spam founders, resell contact data, manipulate revenue claims, use another founder's key, or use Acqora to commit fraud. We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and we cooperate with law enforcement where legally required.

07

Liability

Acqora provides the marketplace, verification tooling and deal infrastructure "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Escrow funds are governed by Escrow.com's own terms; disputes over escrowed transactions follow their dispute process.

08

Governing law

Acqora is operated from France. These terms are governed by French law, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the French courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
